I see something coming. I see the glory of the Lord coming upon the earth. It will culminate in the second return of the Lord Jesus, but the ground work must first be completed. In writing this I don’t claim to be a prophet, but neither can I deny the fact I believe the Lord is showing many people this truth: A powerful move of God is about to engulf the earth in these last days…even in the midst of tremendous chaos in both the visible church and  the world around us.

If you will look at the Bible as a whole, you will see the greatest movements and miracles of God occurred, not in the good times, but rather in the most difficult of situations. The earth is ripe for a move of God’s Spirit and for a people to whom He may bring it through.

This is more than “revival” or “refreshing”. It is in fact, I believe, a restoration of God’s original plan for the church. The Church is the instrument of God’s choosing to implement His kingdom purposes upon the earth. However, before we can be that which God has ordained us to be, we must get back to being EMPOWERED by the Holy Spirit.

I mean the “raw” power of the Holy Spirit. Power like Jesus walked in. Power like the Church was first birthed in.

I am all “for” modern methods of bringing the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My fear however is much of the Church has sold out to their methods of growing the kingdom rather than the means God gave to grow it, the raw power of His Holy Spirit.

What will this restoration look like in these last days? Will it be like one of the past moves of God, even like those of the last thirty years or so that we have read about or been a part of? I’m not sure. But one thing is certain, those moves of God were not sustainable and the one to come will be. It will be unstoppable just as the early church was. They turned the world “upside down” and like it or not, suffered for it. So will we. The glory of God brings out the best in men and the worst. It will be readily accepted by some and immediately rejected by others. But is it coming soon.

Isaiah 60:1–2 (NASB95)

1 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. 2 “For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.
